Essential Qualifications
• MSc / MTech in Biotechnology or Bioinformatics from a reputed Institute • BTech candidates with suitable work experience may be considered for JRF position • Should have studied Bioinformatics as a subject
Essential Experience and Skills • Minimum work experience of 2 years and maximum up to 4 years in an informatics role in a research lab or industry • Sound understanding of core concepts in Bioinformatics including sequence alignment, gene expression analysis, working with gene and protein databases • Proficiency in working on Unix-based systems • Proficiency in writing scripts using R and/or Python
Desirable Skills Possession of any of the following skills will be an advantage • Next-Gen Sequencing data analysis – quality score and filtering, alignment, counting, and variant calling • Work experience or exposure to machine learning algorithms • Image analysis using Keras of fast.ai API
